Ateco is a leading independent automotive group importing and distributing RAM, Renault, LDV and Maserati. Over 16 months we planned and executed Ateco's entry into e-commerce with Upfitter.com - a marketplace for vehicle equipment and accessories. We established the solution for the e-commerce platform and supporting services including payments, customer support, fulfilment and marketing automation.

Creating an Aftermarket Parts & Accessories Marketplace
Australia’s aftermarket equipment and accessory market experienced significant growth during the latter part of the 2020’s. Driven by increased consumer preference towards 4WDs, ute and mid-sized trucks, demand for customisation exploded. Key players, such as ARB, dominate the Australia industry, offering a wide range of products like bull bars, roof racks, and suspension systems. As customers seek improved vehicle aesthetics & functionality, the market has continued to expand, presenting opportunities for new entrants like Ateco Group.
As the largest locally-owned and independent distributor of automotive brands that included RAM trucks, Ateco had an established customer base and detailed understanding of customer preference in mid-sized truck category to support it’s e-commerce ambitions.
Aftermarket Accessories - a $5.4 billion e-commerce opportunity by 2030
With an expanding segment of customers shopping for mid-sized trucks and market leader ARB reporting record-results, Ateco identified an opportunity to tap into the e-commerce space as its route to market. With limited e-commerce experience, Ateco required a comprehensive e-commerce solution, complete with supporting services for warehousing and inventory management as well as back-office support.
